New Atheism: Now with linguistic tricks, rhetorical ruses, rabbit trails and red herrings. Feast on the smorgasbord of logical fallacy!

Apologetics come from the Greek word apologia. Apologia means defense.

Merriam-Webster defines apologetics as (1) systematic argumentative discourse in defense (as of a doctrine) or (2) a branch of theology devoted to the defense of the divine origin and authority of Christianity.

Anyone who seeks to defend his or her view about a major issue becomes an apologist. Even atheists.

Perhaps I was just being a bit of a jerk with that comment. But that has been my experience with them.

I do appreciate you keeping me focused on logic rather than just relying on rhetoric.
