New Book Attacks Evolution Supporters as ‘Atheists,’ ‘Monsters’ and ‘Morons’
Preceding a critical vote on science curriculum, the chairman of the Texas State Board of Education endorsed a new book that portrays parents who want their children to learn about evolution as “monsters,” and pastors who accept the science of evolution as “morons.”
Christianity strikes again.

Are you SERIOUS???? I suppose they prefer Atlases to Globes since the world is flat - anyone who thinks it is round would have to be a (moron, monster..) I got it! A Madman. Do you suppose these people really BELIEVE this stuff, or are they just trying to convince their kids of it? I'm never sure if people are fooling themselves or others.
Come to think of it, I don’t think they sell globes in Texas and sure as heck don’t remember seeing any in the schools! :)
Your questions are good ones. It seems to me they are mostly playing a game of intentionally fooling themselves and then reinforcing their delusion by trying to fool as many others as possible.

I agree except of course when the chairman of the state school board uses his power to undermine science and screw with the education of millions. Then it is decidedly UNCOOL.
As Spong says, God of the bible is now virtually unemployed! (except in certain school boards - seems to be a real busy bee there...)
Sounds like he is borrowing from the language of Dawkins about Christians or people who say God exists.
