thought of the day.69

A real miracle would be a church that didn’t want your money.

What does this prove? What are you getting at here?

It proves the all-powerful deity is always cash-poor.

Not poor, but he asks that you give him 10% of your income as a sign that you follow him and that you love him. And then he blesses you a hundred fold. Doesn't sound like such a bad deal to me.

So you do it because you will make more money? Seems like one should give as a sacrifice to help others not in the hopes of gaining something from it.

Do you really think money must change hands to show love? And do you really think the money goes to “God”? It goes to people who claim to speak for “God” and many use that money to enjoy very expensive jewelry, clothes, cars and houses. The really successful ones have private planes, yachts and many houses. Religious leaders of all faiths have used the idea of deities to gain power and wealth for thousands of years.
