For those who think the New Testament is more enlightened than the Old, just remember that Jesus commands people to obey the Law of Moses which includes commands to cut off the hands of women, kill children, friends and neighbors, stone brides on their wedding night, sacrifice animals and humans, and allows fathers to sell their daughters into slavery. But far more despicable than Jesus’ upholding of the barbaric Law, is his promise to gather unbelievers into his chamber of eternal torture making the New Testament infinitely more dehumanizing than the Old.

Umm, no. Jesus says that he comes to deliver us from the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13-14). He became a curse (cursed is anyone who is hanged on a tree - i.e. crucifixion) in order to free us from having to obey all those rules.
I'm not exactly sure, but I would say that the Matthew reference you gave, where he says he has come to fulfill the law, would mean that because the Old Testament prophesies that there will be a Messiah and gives hundreds of prophesies about this certain messiah, then he has come to fill the spot of messiah.

Your first point is a bit off. Jesus didn’t say anything in Galatians. Those words are attributed to Paul.
I would suggest re-reading Matthew 5:17-20. I think your interpretation is a bit off here too. You are to “obey the Law” and teach others to do the same. Disobedience of ‘the Law” is a no-no.
OK, so they're attributed to Paul...Sorry, I mis-spoke. But all of the Bible is true. Jesus came to deliver us from the curse of the law, because he was cursed, and now we are no longer under the law.
So what did Jesus mean when he said “whoever obeys the Law and teaches others to do the same, will be great in the Kingdom of heaven”?
What did he mean when he said those who “disobey the Law...will be least...”?
Seems like he thinks it pretty important to obey the Law to me.
Also, you say the bible is true. How do you know that? The Mormon thinks the Book of Mormon is true as does the Muslim think the Koran is as the Egyptians thought the Book of the Dead was.
Isn’t it possible you just think it is true because you were told from a young age that it was true by people you trusted?
If you were born into a Muslim, Mormon, Wiccan or Church of Scientology family don’t you think you would have much different beliefs? You are a Christian because you were raised that way. That does not mean your particular holy book is any more true than the Koran or the writings of the founder of Scientology.
I might grow up with those beliefs, but I think that if I honestly and closely examined the belief systems of many different religions I would become a Christian. Especially if I had Christian friends, etc.
When I look at Christianity, Mormon, Muslim religions, and also look at their history, I see holes in the other 2 that I don't see in Christianity.
