Many men without morals have attacked religion because it was contrary to their inclinations. Many wise men have despised it because it seemed to them ridiculous. Ultimate reality is God.
You are right to say that Reality (God) is a like a deep ocean and all we see is the surface. How could something finite fully understand He who is infinite.
You are also right in saying that our glimpse of Truth (God) is obscured by our human frailties (fallen nature).

Glad to provide you some hope for me!
But is it Zeus or Poseidon which is Ultimate reality?
And if there is such thing as “Ultimate” reality what then is “reality”? Are there really two different realities?
For you ultimate reality is matter.
For me, ultimate reality is God.
Zeus is not God. Poseidon is not God.
Atheists are monists. Theists are pluralists (not pluralism) or dualists.
I guess I’m a simpleton, for me, reality is reality.
